Bike Trip to the Gait Inn, Millington

Gait Inn, Millington
A day off in a very sunny March gave me the opportunity to visit Millington by bike for lunch at the Gait Inn. My route took me through my favourite part of the Yorkshire Wolds - Millington Pastures. Racing through the pasture in the bright sunshine was exhilarating.

The whitewashed Gait inn looked great in the sunshine when I arrived and was welcoming stopping off point for some refreshments. Sitting outside on this sunny day was very pleasant as a stream of walkers and cyclists passed by. I had a pint of Leeds Brewery Bitter that was light and refreshing. I used it to wash down a decent burger and chips. Refreshments had it was bike on the bike to head off home. A few hills still had to be climbed but my Burger and Pint didn't weigh to heavy on my stomach.

I'd done 26 miles by the time I'd got home and with the pleasant stop it's certainly be a ride I'll be repeating.
