Snowy dog walk

Our dogs maybe approaching ten years old but their appetite for gallivanting in the snow remains undiminished. At the first sight of us putting on our coats they start to get excited and as soon as the door opens they hurtle outside. They zig-zag back and forth across the tracks at a frantic pace. Maybe the snow holds a smell better than grass as something gives them an extra kick of excitement and it can't be the thought of cold paws.

Later in the walk and the sky cleared for a while. Looking west the setting sun against the snow made for a stunning landscape. Snow causes chaos but it does give everything a real beauty. When it abates a bit I'll get up on to the high Wolds and take some pictures of snow draped wolds hills and valleys. The abatement might be awhile though as I've just driven to Middleton-on-the-Wolds and the snow was piling down in a relentless wave of white.
